WHY I SERVE

What excites me most about joining the SHE+ Foundation Board is the ability to build on the Foundation’s core pillars of excellence in sexual health education and research. There are many sexual health issues across a woman’s lifespan—from adolescence to post menopause—and having reliable patient education resources and the ability to study innovative treatments and technologies to improve female sexual health is truly stimulating.

The talents I bring to the Foundation include my clinical and research experience and knowledge from serving on multiple boards at the National Institutes of Health (NICHD), the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and the Society of Gynecologic Surgeons (SGS). I also serve as a social media editor for the FPMRS journal! You can follow me on Twitter @cheryliglesia and Instagram @cbiglesia!
