Researching Information Suppression of Women's Sexual Health on Big Tech Platforms

This study is a continuation of the Center for Intimacy Justice’s work to stop suppression of information on the sexual health of women and people of color on major social media platforms. In January 2022, CIJ published a report on 60 organizations that had sexual health ads rejected by Meta. 50% of these organizations also had their accounts suspended. Despite publishing changes to its media policies, Meta continues to suppress these sexual health ads from its platforms. SHE+ looks forward to seeing the results from this study following a grant awarded in spring 2023.
