Impact of Vitamin D Treatment in Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder among reproductive age women, yet there is limited research on the evaluation of treatment outcomes related to the sexual and subjective health status of women. Clinical symptoms have been reported to be contributors to psychological morbidity and impact women’s health related quality of life. This study will enroll 60 women with diagnosed PCOS who have abnormal sexual dysfunction w/o evidence of depression. These participants will take Vitamin D and be able to choose between hormonal or non-hormonal contraceptives during the timeframe of the study.
